Handmade

The annual Global Pinoy Bazaar is here again to bring us heritage products made by our fellow Filipino. It's really nice to have this kind of events where we can showcase the talents of the Filipino. I attend the bazaar every year as a support to our local brands. I know Independence day was 2 months ago and we have celebrated it with such festivities. But don't you think that nationalism is best shown when we adopt what is our own. Like supporting local products and sharing the news to everyone. I'm not saying that celebrating our independence is a bad thing. What I'm trying to put in to thought is an everyday celebration by embracing our own cultures like listening to our very own musics, wearing local brands, eating Filipino foods and many more other ways to let the world know what we can do. And this bazaar is making a big stand.
The ceiling was full of colorful "bandiritas". It felt like you are in a festival of a near by town. And I simply love what welcomed me when I entered the tent, a direction board to help me know where to start. Sadly, I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures of every booth. Maybe the universe wants you to see it for yourself. But I do have some fun things that you may like to know. Keep reading and I'll tell you.

Sweet lovers, here is a store that would tickle your taste buds. Cuptain Cakes has variety of cupcakes that you will love. I tired their Calamansi flavor and it was a burst of happiness. Joking aside. It was a mixture of sweet and sour. Comparing it to the Boracay Calamansi cupacakes, I say this with two thumbs up, it's better! The bakers wants you to taste calamansi flavor by not making it to sour but the flavor is a still there.

A new fave of mine. Nikita is a handmade crochet accessories shop. Some might do crochet as part of their hobby but the owner of this shop putted some magic into it. that every time I see the pieces of her work, I'm just in awe of how creative and patiently it was created. As someone who loves colors, I love love the burst of color combo she used. Also, the materials that she uses won't tarnish over time since it's made of yarn. Now that's a good buy.

His art was to picture the jobs most commonly found here in our country. By the time I get my own place, I'll definitely save a place for this kind of art. This is also a very nice and unique gift to give your parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties or even your boss. Who wouldn't be amaze by this.

Another fave of mine and I was happy to find this shop. Istorya is a hand stamped customized jewelry shop. Vintage is a never ending theme for fashion, which is why I love the designs of this shop. You get to customized a unique vintage jewelry. Every piece is made with a lot of patience. The printing of your customized name, word or phrase is very clean. From pendants to charms, this shop has it. If ever a gentleman is reading this, I'm giving you a hint on what to give your mum, daughter, sister and girlfriend that they will absolutely love.
